The main camera holds a resolution of 50 MP with an 82-degree field of view, f/1.85 aperture, and a sensor size of 1/1.31 inches.
Last October, Google launched the Pixel 6 series, which consisted of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Recently DXOMark released the Pixel 6 camera test results which got an overall score of 132 points. This means the Pixel 6 occupies the 11th position as the smartphone with the best camera from the DXOMark assessment. With this value, the Pixel 6’s camera performance is above the Huawei P40 Pro (2020) and below the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (2020). The Google Pixel 6 rear camera configuration comes with two cameras. The main camera holds a resolution of 50 MP with an 82-degree field of view, f/1.85 aperture, and a sensor size of 1/1.31 inches. While the second camera has a 114-degree ultra-wide lens with a 12 MP resolution and an aperture of f/1.2. Google says the Pixel 6 series can capture 2.5 times more light than the Pixel 5.
The Pixel 6 doesn’t have a dedicated telephoto camera like the Pixel 6 Pro. For information, the Pixel 6 Pro has a review rating from DXOMark with 135 points which is just above the Vivo X70 Pro+ and below the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. The 132 DXOMark points achieved by the Google Pixel 6 are the overall score for Photo (144 points), Zoom (54 points) and Video (115 points) performance. In the Photo section, the highest sub-score held by this phone is color with 107 points. This means the Pixel 6 can produce bright, accurate colors. Details in outdoor and indoor lighting can also be produced well. The relatively large image sensor of the main camera provides natural bokeh which works well for portrait shots at short distances.
In the Video section, the highest sub-value is the exposure test. This means that the light it provides does not present over-exposure or under-exposure. All subjects are clearly visible in daylight without overly aggressive contrast interference. Stabilization and color score 103 points. This means users can rely on stable video results even without using a gimbal. The resulting color also looks accurate and natural.
