
Last month, Chen Jin, Lenovo China General Manager for the mobile business confirmed that the company is working on a third-generation Razr clamshell device. Yesterday, XDA Developers brought a report revealing that the Motorola Razr 3 will arrive as a flagship device, unlike its predecessor model which was packed with mid-range specs.
Now, a new report by Technik News has revealed additional information about the specifications of the Razr 3. XDA reports that they have learned through their sources that the Razr 3 will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. To recall, the first Motorola Razr flip phone came with the Snapdragon 710 and the second generation model was equipped with the chipset.
The screen will not have a notch, as seen on the predecessor model. Instead, it will use a hole-in-the-hole design. On the connectivity front, the device is expected to come with NFC support and more accurate UWB (ultrawide-band) positioning. As far as the display is concerned, the publication reports that the Razr 3 has a foldable AMOLED panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It will continue to show the secondary screen, but there is no information about its size and resolution. The Snapdragon 765G.
The Razr 3 is likely to come in RAM options such as 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. It will likely arrive in storage options such as 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. Reports reveal that the Razr 3 is codenamed ‘Maven’ and will have a Full HD+ foldable display offering a 20:9 aspect ratio. However, it can verify if it has an AMOLED display. The device will house a 2800mAh battery.
For the rear camera setup, the Razr 3 will house a 50-megapixel OV50A OmniVision main camera and a 13-megapixel camera for ultrawide and macro shots. For selfies, the Razr 3 will feature a 32-megapixel OmniVision camera. The main and front cameras will be capable of recording 120fps FHD slow motion recording and 4K 60fps UHD video recording. Lastly, it will be pre-installed with Android 12 OS.
