Lenovo Legion Y700 : After sharing the teaser for an 8.8-inch Android gaming tablet with support for a 120Hz refresh rate for a long time, Lenovo has finally officially introduced the Lenovo in China. While the full specs have been revealed for a long time, the company has yet to release its official pricing.
However, Lenovo via their official Weibo forum site in the Latest Gadget news has announced its price list, with two variants of the Lenovo Legion Y700 getting very competitive domestic prices.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at CNY2,699 (approximately Rp.
with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage priced at CNY2,999 (approximately Rp. 6.8 million).
The price is slightly higher than previously thought, but is likely to attract tablet buyers in China. The Lenovo Legion Y700 itself dares to compete with the iPad Mini 6 from Apple, even the company itself states this competition in social media posts.
In comparison, the base model with 64GB of internal storage of the iPad Mini 6 costs CNY3,799 in China, so Android fans can pick up the 12GB variant with 256GB of storage and still receive change.
Of course, users wouldn’t expect the Snapdragon 870 to compete with Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset, but given the Lenovo Legion Y700’s other specs and this price point, it seems that Lenovo has produced a true contender for the compact tablet market dominated by the iPad Mini 6.
There’s no word yet on whether the Lenovo gaming tablet will be officially released outside of China, although if it does, the price tag will likely be much higher.
