LG V35 ThinQ : LG Electronics (LG) today announced the birth of the LG V35 ThinQ, the latest generation of V-series flagship smartphones that are renowned for their premium multimedia capabilities. The South Korean manufacturer emphasized that the company continues to inject new energy into the V series platform with faster performance, and improving photography, audio and AI functions.
The LG V35 ThinQ itself will launch in the United States from June and will be followed by limited markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. In a written statement on its official website, Thursday (31/5/2018), LG stated, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform paired with 6 GB of RAM, plus 64/128 GB of internal storage space.
The LG V35 ThinQ also retains its 6-inch FullVision OLED display with QHD+ resolution (2,880 x 1,440 pixels) in a compact form that weighs only 157 grams and is 7.3mm thin. The phone’s screen features a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that curves around the edges to create a sleek and premium feel. The LG V35 ThinQ is also built to withstand the rigors of everyday use with an IP68 rating (water and dust resistance), and has passed 14 US military MIL-STD 810G tests for reliable equipment performance in harsh environments.
A Better, Smarter Camera The phone features a new dual rear camera module featuring two 16 MP lenses in standard configuration and a Super Wide Angle that was first introduced in the new LG G7 ThinQ. The Super Wide Angle camera now has less edge distortion for sharper, more natural photos than ever before. The front camera gets a big bump in resolution from 5 MP to 8 MP. The LG V35 ThinQ also features an enhanced AI CAM with 19 shooting modes to help users take better photos every time.
Users will find Portrait Mode for creating bokeh shots with the front and rear cameras, Live Photo for recording the scene just before and after the shutter is pressed, and stickers for fun 2D or 3D overlay effects using facial recognition. Enhancing the low-light photography capabilities of the V30S ThinQ, the device features a new Super Bright Camera for capturing low-light images, four times brighter to be exact.
Assisted by pixel binning and advanced software processing techniques, AI algorithms determine the best settings when shooting in dim environments. AI Features to Make Life Comfortable Following the LG G7 ThinQ, the V series smartphone will also feature Google Lens in the camera app, as well as Google Assistant, and don’t forget Google Photos. With Google Lens, users can get more information about objects such as landmarks, plants, animals, and books by simply pointing at the camera. Users can also visit websites,
add business cards to contacts and add events to the calendar directly with the camera. Through Super Far Field Voice Recognition (SFFVR) technology, the Google Assistant can be accessed by voice up to five meters away. SSFVR is able to understand voice commands accurately even through background noises such as TV and traffic. The Immersive High Definition Audio HiFi Quad DAC featured on the V35ThinQ delivers richer sound when paired with a pair of high-end headphones.
And with DTS:X, listeners can enjoy virtual 3D surround sound for up to 7.1 channel audio with any content on the go. “The LG V35 ThinQ is part of our strategy that we announced earlier this year to introduce new iterations of existing products that leverage on proven and successful ideas,” said Hwang Jeong-hwan, President of LG Electronics Mobile Communication Company. With a carefully crafted approach that enhances performance and comfort, the LG V35 ThinQ is a great choice for anyone looking for a powerful and complete multimedia smartphone.” Although it has been announced, LG still hasn’t mentioned the price and where the device will be sold freely.
