A new shop has opened in Burton’s former Monsoon store, it has been revealed. Gift and gadget store Menkind has opened for business in the large empty unit once occupied by Monsoon Accessorize until the major fashion chain closed the store in 2020.
A sign in the window said Menkind will open this week in the store in Coopers Sqaure shopping centre. The shelves had been stocked ahead of opening and anything related to Monsoon Accessorize has disappeared.
It is not the first time Menkind has moved into Burton. It previously spent several months in the former Ann Summers unit close by to this new one in Coopers Square shopping centre before closing in January 2020 due to the short-term lease expiring. This unit is now occupied by Start and Tremayne.
