smartphone Planet Astro : Planet, a British company that focuses on the smart device ecosystem and also has products such as PDAs and communicators has now released their latest unique smartphone called Planet Astro Slide 5G.
Planet Astro Slide 5G was officially introduced by the company in Latest Gadget News at CES 2022 and this smartphone has a unique design with a physical keyboard that also reminds us of the heyday of Blackberry.
The screen of Planet Astro Slide 5G has a size of 6.39 inches diagonally with an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,340×1,080 pixels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and there is a selfie camera that has a resolution of 13MP.
The Planet Astro Slide 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 800 chipset and runs the Android 11 operating system, but the company says that this will have support for Linux Linux, Kali, and Sailfish OS in the future.
On the back, there is a dual camera configuration with a 48MP primary camera with an unknown Sony sensor, accompanied by a 13MP secondary camera.
Planet Astro Slide 5G was launched in an 8GB RAM configuration with 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a microSD card, and this smartphone has two USB Type-C ports located on the top and bottom.
The battery of Planet Astro Slide 5G has a capacity of 4,000mAh which is supported by 30W fast charging and also has support for wireless charging.
Planet Astro Slide 5G is a refresher of all smartphones with the same design on the market today and can be an alternative to folding smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 or Oppo Find N, but with a less powerful chipset.
The mechanical keyboard of the Planet Astro Slide 5G also supports backlit features and can display 24 international layouts and the smartphone is launched in blue with a price tag of £719.
