This handy gadget includes most of the functionality and power of a desktop or laptop, with the size and weight less than a standard magazine.
With the increase of mobile Internet speeds came a desire to have a computer that was easy to carry and use on the go. While netbooks filled this void nicely, there were people that wanted the convenience in an even more portable and easy to use format. This was the start of tablet computing technologies. Currently, there is a full line of tablets available from Motorola, Apple, Samsung, Toshiba, ASUS and RIM that have similar characteristics and functionality. While features and specifics may vary between companies and models, the tablets have screens ranging from seven to 10.1-inches and display resolutions around 1280-by-800 pixels.
Most feature cameras ranging from three to eight megapixels and are capable of recording full-HD video at smooth frame rates. When it comes to storing your apps, music, movies and personal data, storage capacities range from 16GB to 64GB, though higher storage capacities often come with a premium price tag.
